July 14, 2016 Margo Crummack Education
Crummack Huseby advocates and reimburses our management talent when they pursue continued education. Our educated community managers spend considerable amounts of time understanding changes to policy and California Civil Code which directly affect the operation of community associations. Board of Directors consider this one of our biggest assets as they harness our knowledge and guidance to build the best community.
We are also here to help builders educate their homeowners on the ins and outs of community association operations. Through in-person presentations, we are able to clearly inform and explain the “whys” of Builders, HOA, and Property Management, and how these corporations are governed. More importantly, we help others understand how we all work together.
Community Managers are very instrumental in keeping things moving forward so you can focus on more big-picture challenges that affect your new developments. We are very adept at multi-tasking and keeping agendas moving forward. Our ability to coordinate turnovers, lead document collection efforts, craft base operational policies and their implementation, staffing, training, HR, vendor oversight, budget implementation and overall community liaison/cheerleader is just a typical day. Understanding the turnover schedules and being adept at managing the challenges that may arise can save builders lots of time and frustration.
Community Managers provide insight to how homeowners perceive Builders, the HOA, or anything else. What you don’t know can hurt you and we work diligently to get an insightful reading from your community. It’s important to have a clear line of communication between your Community Manager and your overall team so minor problems or misunderstandings can be identified early on before they get blown out of proportion or trust is damaged.
In any profession, we tend to see things through our own professional eye-lens. What’s important to understand is the perception of our mutual customer, the homeowner is where our focus needs to shine. As a member of the Eliant family, we are constantly asking ourselves “What obstacles keep us from delivering a better customer experience? What additional tools do we need to deliver a better customer experience?…” Our team constantly seeks improvement, not just for ourselves, but for communities.
We’ve always trained our Community Managers to understand it takes a village to create an incredible community. If you need any guidance or assistance in creating your builder village, contact me (949) 367-9430 xt: 202 for a free consultation.
Let us be a part of your team, or assist your team in any way.

ABOUT MARGO CRUMMACK
Margo co-founded Crummack Huseby Property Management, Inc., over 17 years ago when she saw a need for a more customized and personalized approach to community management. Margo along with co-founder Sandra Woods Huseby's mission was to create a breath of fresh air within their industry: to create an open dialogue with communities, to focus on the core of a community, and to customize management styles to suit what’s best for that particular community.
As an expert in New Project Development, Margo is often invited to consult from day one. Her work ethic is respected and valued—when she says she’ll do it, it gets done. One of Margo’s crown jewels is the beautiful 20-Merchant Builder Master Planned Community that she consulted on back in 1999 and still manages today.
Always advocating for continued learning, Margo encourages an environment of “training, motivating, and innovating” for herself, Crummack Huseby’s employees, and their clients. She is also a well-respected speaker and educator within the industry, serving on the Education Committee for CAI-OC and CACM’s Education Review Committee.
