If the board of directors at your community association is considering hiring a community manager, it can be tough to establish which company is right for you. This process may seem confusing, but when it comes to hiring the right management company for your association, you should pay attention to the basics.
Changing HOA management companies can be a stressful process but is often necessary. When an association management company engages in improper behavior or fails to see your association's vision, the board of directors should terminate the contract, and goshopping for a new community manager.
The threat of a fire is at the forefront of our minds during the windy season. We drive by the fire department or see a fire truck and wave, grateful they're there but hoping you don't have to call on them. We never think a fire could happen to us, until it does.
Every business is results-driven, but it's essential to understand what it means for your business, for your clients, and your personal career growth. At Crummack Huseby, we look at the Results-Based Management theory as a guide to be more productive.
Cleaning up and preserving your neighborhood goes beyond remembering to toss glass and plastic into a recycling bin. That's especially true in Southern California communities. When it comes to sustaining the planet, everyone must do their part.
The beauty of living in Southern California is that we are surrounded by so much local, natural beauty. This also means we’re often visited by local wildlife, including coyotes. Please take into consideration these tips when spotting coyotes and always take the utmost safest precaution.
On June 8 we held our second Baker Ranch 5K Run. It marked a change in direction but achieved even loftier goals in building community and raising awareness of Higher Ground Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides mentoring programs for youth and their families in at-risk communities in Anaheim and surrounding areas.
Being able to empathize means to be capable of identifying and understanding another person's feelings, without experiencing them for yourself at that particular moment. It is the ability to literally experience the world from another person's perspective; to walk in their shoes, to view life from their living conditions and to feel what it feels like to be that person.
You don’t want to miss a chance to be a part of a new neighborhood tradition!! It’s the 2nd year of the Baker Ranch 5K! However this year we have “flipped” the course in the opposite direction, making it a hilly, scenic, and challenging 5K course.
The beauty of Orange County is that we still have gorgeous weather, even in the Fall! Over 250+ residents attended to see the new pool, grab a hot dog and enjoy the water and sun. Kids of all ages enjoyed snow cones for a tasty treat that was appreciated during an 80-degree day. Beach music was blasted while kids swam and everyone hung out and socialized on the poolside non-slip deck. This day came, not without its own challenges, and Crummack Huseby helped to make it all happen.
Our first ever Baker Ranch 5K was incredible! On September 15, runners of all levels ran through four parks: Vista Swim Club, Borrego Trail, Oaks Tennis Park, and Promenade Park. We had over 100 participants who, along with our sponsors, helped us bring awareness to Higher Ground Youth & Family Services, a not-for-profit charitable organization based out of Yorba Linda.

I am a foster mom. I remember the first time I saw the numbers about foster care. The numbers showing how many kids are in foster care are staggering, but for me, these numbers have faces, they have a story and these stories are tough to hear.
I grew up taking road trips with my family every Summer. We would all load into our Ford LTD station wagon with the trailer hitched up and then headed off! I’d often ask where we were going and to my delight, my Dad would pull out a map and walk me through where we were going, how long it was going to take to get to each of the locations and what we would do when we were there. Wow, what a plan. I knew it took him weeks to do it.
We know someone who watches all the Godfather movies because when the last scene is done, she knows enough time has passed and the turkey is done! While we don’t have our movies timed to a science, there are some other fun things you can do on Thanksgiving that don’t include cooking.
Fall calls for boots, sweaters and planning Hallothanksmas, but… it’s also time to garden! Many homeowners shy away from planting anything in the “winter” months for fear of frost or other cold weather effects, but it may provide a bountiful bloom or harvest if timed properly.
