Open to the public and community members! Register and participate in the first Baker Ranch 5K Run/Walk, held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the City of Lake Forest beginning at 8:00 a.m. Day-of registration will be available at Vista Swim Club beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Have fun and go at your own pace! This an untimed event begins at the Vista Swim Club (101 Laurel) and concludes at Promenade Park (100 Catalina). The Kids Race begins at 9:30 a.m. in Promenade Park and is a quick 1K within the park boundaries.

This challenging course spans the entire length of the Borrego Trail, with sweeping views of the open space to the northwestern side of the master plan community. Participants make a U-turn at the south end of the trail and reenter the neighborhood through Oaks Tennis Park. Continuing down Laurel road and past the Toll Brothers Trails neighborhood, runners will dart across the pedestrian bridge over Alton Parkway, traverse quickly down a DG trail and then climb back up via the backbone streets. The Peake neighborhood built by Shea Homes is the home stretch for the course, which concludes in the central linear Promenade Park.

Dozens of local business owners look forward to greeting participants at the Fitness Expo, where a DJ will keep the atmosphere lively and fun. T-shirts and medals will be distributed to all participants in recognition of their efforts at the finish line. Recovery stations and water stations will also be provided.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit Higher Ground Youth & Family Services, an Orange County 501c(3) charitable organization. Volunteer opportunities are available, contact
