August 3, 2017 Jennifer Norton, CCAM, CMCA Crummack Huseby News
We put out a call for help on behalf of Working Wardrobes, and our homeowners, business partners, and our team showed up in mass. Crummack Huseby wanted to show our support to those trying to get back into the workforce after experiencing difficult situations. We thought a great way to help was to donate clothes for them to feel confident during interviews, helping them win jobs.
As our efforts came to a close this week, we were swimming in clothes! The staff at the donation site were so excited to see everything we donated. We were able to fill two and a half commercial size clothing racks and an entire bin with clothes, shoes, and accessories. It was a great way to help those in our community. A special thank you to Mike Perloff of Fenton Grant Mayfield Kaneda & Litt, LLP for your assistance in the delivery of donations!
Crummack Huseby sends a heartfelt thank you to all those who donated clothing to our Working Wardrobes clothing drive.
Stay tuned for our next community efforts. We are excited to introduce you to some new charities and inspire everyone to get involved.
Since 1990, Working Wardrobes has helped approximately 90,000 men, women, Veterans, and young adults enter
the workforce. Via referrals from over 60 programs throughout Southern California, they help individuals who’ve overcome a range of difficult challenges—including alcohol and substance abuse, domestic violence, incarceration, homelessness, catastrophic illness, and traumatic financial loss—get a new start. As a GuideStar Silver Service participant, $.90 of every dollar donated directly supports client services such as career training, job placement assistance, and professional wardrobe services. How do they measure success? When a client says, "I got the job!"
