FINDING JOY IN A JUMBLE OF NUMBERS

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT IS ON TONY TULIANI

Since first grade, Tony Tuliani has always liked math over any subject, “Numbers don’t lie was my motto, whereas English homework had words with sillent letters.” Tony joined Crummack Huseby several months ago as our Staff Accountant and chose CH specifically for its unique working culture. He was at a large HOA firm before and was rarely acknowledged as an individual, “I wanted to move to a company where I can make an impact rather than only helping in the background.”

When dealing with accounting, one assumes they don’t handle homeowner’s needs much, but Crummack Huseby relies on accountants like Tony to process community financial statements and help our clients understand their accounts. Everyone knows accountants are good at math, but Tony wants people to see they are more than number crunchers.

“Accountants are experts in classifying revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity on the income statement and balance sheet respectively. At the end of the day we are more like organizers.”

At Crummack Huseby, our accountants do so much more behind the scenes like working with property managers, another reason Tony enjoys being here. “It’s not very common in a company that you get to interact with everyone. I believe this gives me a huge benefit in understanding how my fellow associates and peers work with one another. I also get to learn about different associations and express my knowledge of accounting to everyone I interact with.”

His grasp of accounting is evolving as he studies to obtain his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Certifcation. With this designation, he will further his career and knowledgeable in the HOA accounting world and beyond. Crummack Huseby is always thrilled when our talented team furthers their knowledge, and we are cheering him on all the way!

When this math whiz needs a break from his office brain, he spends time with his family and close friends. His ideal night is “anywhere outside that plays good music and has good craft beer and/or cocktails. When all of this is put together, it brings out great conversations, laughs, and memories.” We couldn’t agree more! Perhaps Tony should plan Crummack Huseby’s next social event.

Five Fun Facts about Tony
  1. If he wasn’t in accounting, he would love to pursue a career in music and hip hop.
  2. He would love to run his own business someday though isn’t sure what just yet.
  3. Tony is an avid Lakers fan.
  4. His dream office space would be in the Maldives.
  5. Tony has traveled to India, Australia, Canada, Cabo San Lucas and other fantastic destinations.

Tony is a fantastic addition to our accounting department, and those of us that aren’t too keen to numbers, are extra thankful for his numbers-driven mind.
