Fun is Always on the Agenda at Travata Club

GET TO KNOW RECREATION DIRECTOR BEVERLY GISH

Before joining CH, at the recommendation of Lennar Southern California Coastal, she had gathered an impressive range of experience in working with the public, including diverse positions as a flight attendant and in computer systems sales. “I have to say this one is one of my proudest moments thus far – to be recommended for this position,” she says.

Although she has only been at Travata 12 short months, Beverly Gish already says her role as the Director of Recreation is “one of the most fulfilling and perfect positions I have held in my professional career. I can’t say enough great things about working with the team at Crummack Huseby and at Travata.” 

As Recreation Director of The Travata Club, she ensures the residents of the new, exclusive, gated 55+ community have plenty of opportunities to socialize and new experiences to look forward to. She says she “likes being responsible for the Travata Community and working with Jamie Gould, our Community Manager to ensure that it is running smoothly.”

May has been an exceptionally busy month for the residents at Travata. The Club’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta drew a crowd of 53 who celebrated at the clubhouse with tacos, enchiladas, and margaritas. Just a few days later, [Glenn] Tanaka of Tanaka Farms paid a visit to the Club to share the benefits about farm fresh seasonal produce — and how to have healthy organic fruits and vegetables delivered directly to Travata. “I love planning the events and hearing the residents’ feedback and compliments,” she says. “Every event presents an opportunity to pique their interests and make new discoveries.”

What’s next on the calendar: a potluck BBQ with bocce ball lessons, movie night, a luau, and evening of music by the pool and more.

FIVE FUN FACTS ABOUT BEVERLY

1. When she’s not planning an engaging roster of activities for Travata’s residents, she likes to indulge in a fine dining experience or to take in a movie or theatrical performance.
    
2. She was a mortgage loan officer for 13 years.
    
3. When her hectic schedule permits it, she loves taking road trips to the desert and other drivable destinations — the more scenic the better!
    
4. When she has leisure time close to home, she adores time spent outdoors, relaxing at the beach or tending to her garden.
    
5. Most of all, this social butterfly loves spending time with family and friends.
