SAFETY NEVER TAKES A HOLIDAY

The July 4th holiday starts the weekend before, giving you more time to spend with friends and family in your HOA community area, hosting a delicious BBQ. Before you fire up the grill or dip your toe in the community pool, it might be good to double check these HOA rules for safety reasons.

Remember, your HOA may have varying rules regarding safety, but they always want to make sure you have fun and safe time all year round. 

• Ask the board to give an easy to understand printed or emailed reminder of the CC&RS and HOA rules regarding your community spaces for parties

• Parties are great when rules are followed, so gently remind your guests about the HOA rules, this protects everyone

• Having a party poolside? Make sure you adhere to the pool rules, and especially keep your eyes on the non-swimmers in and near the pool

• Parking can be frustrating as everyone seems to invite friends during this busy weekend. Let your guests know where they can park without risking a parking violation

• For extra precaution, keep a fire extinguisher close to your BBQ grill

• California has strict laws about fireworks…basically, they’re illegal

• In case of an emergency, always call 911
